Producing part of the energy from renewable resources (photovoltaic panels widely exposed to the sun’s rays without diluting the resort’s aesthetic.
Zero single-use plastic.
Managing its waste (selective sorting upon delivery, recycling of cardboard and plastic waste collected by a company/association such as Peduli-Alam).
Permaculture garden serves as the resort’s epicenter of learning and information (enriching gastronomy experiences through wide array of organic produces), a recycling post (organic pre- and post-meal waste used to feed the farm animals, direct waste of vegetables and fruits composted), quarter for farm to table produces (nearly 30% of the fruits and vegetables harvested daily for the gastronomy supply, provide herbs and spices for the spa herbal tea lounge and which also used in some wellness products.
Socially committed by generating 150 jobs in the region, and providing housing to 20 employees, meals and health coverage to all employees, Anak Kappa.
Social solidarity by sharing 50% of its crops with neighboring villagers, distributing meals surplus, sourcing direct from local Balinese farmers, training neighbors in permaculture and waste management skills.’
