Aroma Descriptions
Alta – Cool, aromatic notes of geranium and juniper berry contrast with the warm glow of caraway, cardamom, saffron and orris. An enduring woody base conveys a touch of adventure, with accents of labdanum, patchouli, vetiver and sandalwood. Moved by mountains. Guided by the spectacle of the skyline, a bold city scent to empower and protect. A celebration of Aman’s pioneering spirit. Meaning ‘high’ in Latin, Alta is inspired by @Aman’s pioneering spirit, the rich architectural history of New York and the imposing drama of its cityscape.
Vayu – The inviting warmth of coconut introduces an opulent bouquet of white florals. Solar tuberose and jasmine mingle with shades of sandalwood and musk that settle on the skin. As the Andaman Sea washes quietly on immaculate white sands, @Amanpuri’s tropical flowers release their pure, sweet scent in the heat of the day. Return to the shores of this island paradise with Vayu from the @Aman fragrance collection. Blending tuberose and jasmine with a hint of coconut, sandalwood and musk, this summer-fresh scent captures blossom and citrus by the beach under an endless sky.
Umbr – A floral heart of orange blossom and rose is textured with black pepper and saffron. Earthy cypriol tames a blaze of seductive leather and wood accents. A rich and layered fragrance, combining the depth of oak and leather with precious moments of spice. Inspired by the grand 16th-century Palazzo at @Aman_Venice, Umbr is derived from the Latin word for shadow, carrying whispers of the opulence of Venice in centuries past.
Zuac – A swirl of pink pepper and tangerine draws the wearer into exotic accents of Bay St Thomas, clove and saffron. Frankincense, patchouli and vetiver complement this colourful palette with warm tonalities. Between desert and medina, Zuac is rooted in the Moorish architecture of Marrakech and its unique surrounding landscapes. The scent’s colourful palette of pink pepper and tangerine draws the wearer into exotic accents of Bay St Thomas, clove and saffron, inspired by Amanjena.
Ayom – Elemi and bergamot are enhanced by cardamom and juniper accents, bringing a sense of purity to the top note. Fresh, translucent and clean, the fragrance has an air of peace and tranquillity, tempered with mineral notes of oak moss and cedar. Deep, dramatic and complex, Ayom is inspired by the jungles of @Amanjiwo. Haru – Delicate floral layers mingle with soft apricot and green-tea accents on the smoothest musks, warmed by the tobacco tonalities of mate leaves. Sei – Intense aromas of pine needles and juniper rise through a haze of clary sage and lavender, slowly revealing smouldering cedar and ciste labdanum. SEI evokes the spirit of @Amangiri’s breath-taking surroundings with a blend of cedar, sage, juniper and pine to conjure the essence of the wilderness.
